Ramie passed away on January 28, 2026 at UMMC of an unexpected heart attack. He was born on November 3, 1966 to Ray Carroll, Sr. and Judith Wilson Carroll. He was a standout football and track athlete at Kirk Academy. Ramie graduated in 1984 and then continued on to the University of Mississippi where he loved cheering on the Rebels. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He graduated from Ole Miss in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree. He was a Christian who loved the Lord and showed that love in the form of service and friendship.
He married the love of his life, Tina Ann Carroll, on September 8, 2017. He loved to travel and enjoyed hunting. He had a special place in his heart and loved spending time with his grandson Landon, the son of Scott Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Tina of Grenada; sister, Amy Carroll; nephew, Gunner Hudspeth; niece, Carley Hudspeth; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Ramie’s honorary pallbearers are Andy Bell, Gene Bell, Clay Wilson, Bill
Ashmore, Bubba Buford, Ben Liles, Vincent Marascalco, Derrick Kendall, John Salley, Kevin Horan, Scott Taylor, Johnny McNulty and Garrett Hartley.
